BOLD National Programs offer focused experiences for alumni to deepen their development as exemplary movement leaders.
The NATIONAL GATHERING is an annual event where BOLD alumni gather together for four days of Black Love, Black Joy, and Black Mastery. This year's gathering will be held in-person for the first time since 2019, in Atlanta, GA, from April 18th to April 21st.
Introducing MBONGI STUDY AND STRUGGLE - our latest political education program. This program is a combination of Emergent Strategy and SNCC organizing practice. Alumni will expand their knowledge about maroons and how we apply marronage principles and practices to our organizing today. Additionally, you'll be able to give and receive peer support on emergent challenges in your leadership path. All sessions will be conducted online, except for April.
30 DAYS OF PRACTICE (30 DoP) is our month-long recommitment to daily practice to serve our commitments. 30 DoP will take place online, weekly, Monday - Thursday in April.
In BLACK AUGUST we take a month to commemorate the sacrifices of Black political prisoners and those fallen from state violence for their political organizing.
Adopted in 2017, we fast, study, train, and fight for our healing, transformation, and liberation during the month of resistance.
